The China Cultural Center is pleased to present a series of three exhibitions that bring the story of the Jews in China. The online exhibitions are online and reveal the history, heritage, institutions and daily life of the Jewish communities in the cities of Harbin, Tianjin and Shanghai. The series is presented as part of the events of the 30th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel. The first exhibition in the series presents the story of the Jews in Harbin. It is presented in English and Chinese and is divided into five parts:
(1) The Shore of the Vast Songhua River – A Paradise for Jews in the Far East (2) Another Hometown for Soul – Jews Created Economic Miracle of Harbin (3) The Messenger of Western Culture – Contribution of Jews to Harbin (4) Homeland in Memory – Harbin Complex of Former Jews in China (5) Finding Jewish Remains – Jewish Sites Harbin.
The exhibition “Harbin Jewry” is presented under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Heilongjiang Province and the China Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with and organizing the Heilongjiang Province Library, China
