The territory of China is a vast and incredibly beautiful area with a variety of natural landscapes. As of 2019 China has established 474 national nature reserves, 897 national forest parks, 1,051 historic landscapes and areas, 613 gardens, and 111 marine parks, which have become tourist attractions for local and foreign travelers.
In 2005, a committee of 200 scientists, sociologists, writers, and photographers selected 114 sites that best reflect China’s magnificent nature from a pool of 500 candidates.
This exhibition is a collection of photographs of these pristine landscapes divided into 15 categories – mountains, lakes, deserts, landforms of Denxia, peak forests, forests, canyons, waterfalls, glaciers, forests, beaches, swamps, caves, grasslands and islands – presenting The natural beauty of China to the world.
