For years, Nanshun Village suffered from poverty, poor infrastructure, lack of potable water and limited access roads. Willing to improve their quality of life, the locals took an active part in the efforts to improve the infrastructure and open the village to urban tourists. They widened the narrow access road to the village making it much more convenient for vehicles. They used the ecological potential to improve water quality, and educate the local to recycling and waste sorting.
